Territory Guide

Western European countries have dispatched settler groups to the coastal regions of the Americas, initiating the establishment of new towns. Within the realm of Uncharted Waters Online, these towns are referred to as Territories.

 

You can work diligently to create a Territory that is advantageous to your Job. Alternatively, you can collaborate with your fellow Captains to establish a Territory that specializes in a certain field. The development and fate of these Territories are left in the hands of you all.

In addition to the "Development Level," which can be increased through Investment as in normal Cities/Towns, each Territory has parameters that reflect its state, such as Culture Level, Commerce Level, and Armament Level.

Based on these Levels, each Territory can be transformed into an Academic Capital, a Commerce Capital, a Military Capital, or even a Central Capital.

By engaging in the following action(s) within a Territory, you will be able to increase the Culture, Commerce, and/or Armament Levels.

 

Action NPC Details
Present Discovery City Official Present one of the Discovery Cards you own.
This action can increase Culture Points. Each Territory has a different list of Discovery Cards you can present, which changes over time.

Donate Ship Shipyard Master Donate one of the ships you own.
This action can increase one of the Culture, Commerce, or Armament Points depending on the type of ship you donate.

Supply Item Shopkeeper Supply one type of Item/Trade Goods you own.
This action can increase one of the Culture, Commerce, or Armament Points depending on the type of Item/Trade Good you supply. Each Territory has a different list of Items/Trade Goods you can supply which changes over time.

* You cannot perform the same type of action consecutively. You need to sail around for a while or visit another Port before being able to perform the same action again.

* Points increased by your actions might not be reflected immediately but will show up within an hour.

* The Culture Level, Commerce Level, and Armament Level of a Territory cannot surpass the Development Level of that Territory.

* To stay updated on the current Culture, Commerce, and Armament Points and the status of each Territory, simply talk to the City Officials in the Territories.

There are two types of Territories: one is consistently administered by the same nation, and the other becomes allied with the nation whose influence level is the highest among the other nations in that Territory.

 

National Territories:

These Territories are under permanent administration by a specific nation.

* Only players from that nation can make investments or contribute to its development.

National Territories include the following:

 

Nation Territory
Spain Trujillo (East Coast of Latin America)
Portugal Pernambuco (East Coast of Latin America)
Venice Caracas (East Coast of Latin America)
France Cayenne (East Coast of Latin America)
The Netherlands Willemstad (Caribbean Sea)
England Grand Cayman (Caribbean Sea)

Region: Caribbean/Central America & South America

 

 

Neutral Territories:

Neutral Territories are Territories allied to the nation whose influence level is the highest.

* Players from ANY nation can make investments or contribute to its development.

Neutral Territories include the following:

- Ternate (Southeast Asia)

- Ambon (Southeast Asia)

- Lima (West Coast of Latin America)

The statuses of Territories may change weekly based on their Culture, Commerce, and Armament Levels.

The Culture, Commerce, and Armament Levels influence the selection of Items/Goods available in the Item Shop and Market, the types of Ships that can be built, the Ship Materials and Items that can be produced, and the Treasure Maps that can be found in the Archives.

 

Academic Capital

When the Culture Level of a Territory reaches a certain point, it will transform into an Academic Capital.

Commerce Capital

When the Commerce Level of a Territory reaches a certain point, it will transform into a Commerce Capital.

Military Capital

When the Armament Level of a Territory reaches a certain point, it will transform into a Military Capital.

* The assessment of changes in Territory statuses will occur every Monday at 11:00 a.m. (Pacific Time/Server Time). If your Character is within a Territory at the time of assessment, you must exit the Territory and re-enter it to observe the reflected changes.

* When a Territory becomes a Central Capital, a deduction of 100 points will be applied to its Culture, Commerce, and Armament Levels every Monday at 11:00 a.m. (Pacific Time/Server Time) as well.

* For real-time updates on the current Culture, Commerce, and Armament Levels, as well as the status of the Territory, simply engage in conversation with the City Officials in each respective Territory.

The Dock

A Territory will turn into a Central Capital when its Culture, Commerce, and Armament Points each achieve 40,000 or more.

Once the Territory fulfills these criteria, it retains its Central Capital status.

As your nation's Territory evolves into a Central City, doors open to new Recipes, NPCs, Items, and Trade Goods that are exclusive to this prestigious status.

When your nation's Territory becomes a Central Capital, you'll have the privilege of owning a personal Dock within the Territory, capable of accommodating up to 5 ships.

To access the Dock, talk to the Dock Manager at the Shipyard, and offer 5 million Ducats and 50 Patriot Awards as payment.

 

 

* Any ship you own can be berthed at the Dock.

* Ships berthed at the Territory's Dock will be gradually repaired. Additionally, they can be transported to any City/Town and Company Colonies for a fee (Simply talk with the Port Officials for the Dock option).

* The Dock's capacity can be expanded using the "Dock Storage Expansion" item, frequently available in our Pop-up Shop.

* Once granted Dock access, you can continue using the Dock even if the Territory loses Central Capital status.

* In the event of Defection, you'll need to regain Dock access rights.

* If you defect to the Ottoman Empire, talk to the Dock Manager at the Istanbul Shipyard to reclaim Dock access rights.
