In order to revamp PvP encounters, the Uncharted Waters Online Team has made a few systemic changes that long-time fans of the game are sure to appreciate.
Plundering during Sea Battle against another Captain
Your character’s equipment items or/and ship parts can be now plundered by another player at a certain rate, should you be defeated in Melee Battle or Deck Battle. The items targeted for plunder are those stored in your character Inventory; the ones stored in Quarters, Strongbox, or Storage are safe from plundering. Additionally, there are a variety of items that are fully exempt from the plunder system as well, including rare character/ship equipment items, event items, expansion/booster items, Ducat checks, and chest/exchange ticket items.
Connected to this change, the effects of the following Ship Optional Skills have been modified as well:
Camouflaged Hold – The effect is now triggered at a lower rate.
Improved Hold – It can now also protect your equipment and ship parts from plundering at a certain rate on top of Trade Goods.
* ”Pillage Order” cannot be used during PvP.
Deck Battle
Deck Battle may now be initiated without the consent of both sides when you initiate a Deck battle with the flagship of a Fleet and the character on that ship is either a Bounty Hunter or has bounty on their head.
Turtle Ships
You are now able to initiate a Melee Battle against any types of Turtle Ships.
